Support for the School of Technical Logistics at the Hamburg Technical University

Hamburg Technical University and the Dr. Friedrich Jungheinrich Foundation believe the field of logistics technology is an area of research of strategic interest and significant importance to Hamburg as a logistics hotbed. With this commitment, we support the promotion of scientific progress and the university education of qualified budding engineers.

In collaboration with the Dr. Friedrich Jungheinrich Foundation, that significantly supported the establishment of the Institute for Technical Logistics, the TUHH opened its new institute on 19th September 2017.

Professor Dr. Jochen Kreutzfeldt, Head of Institute, hosted the evening that included speeches by Hans-Georg Frey, Chairman of the Board of Management of the Jungheinrich AG and Member of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Garabed Antranikian, President of Hamburg University of Technology as well as Dr. Rolf Bösinger, State Council of Economic, Transport and Innovation Affairs. Afterwards, the institute opened its doors and invited the guests to a tour through the institute’s research fields Autonomous Systems, Augmented Reality, Simulation and Blockchain.

The team of the institute, that’s located in a new building in Hamburg’s inland port, is comprised of research assistents in the fields of Computer Sciences, Mechanical Engineering and Physics.
